Jamaican dancehall superstar Shenseea is preparing to deliver new music this Friday, November 6, with the release of her eight-track EP, Catalyst.
The Grammy-nominated entertainer confirmed the project’s title and release date on November 2, giving fans a clearer picture of what to expect from her latest musical chapter.
Among the songs announced for the project are “Talk To Me,” featuring dancehall heavyweight Vybz Kartel, and “Vulnerability,” a track that highlights a more personal side of the Jamaican singer.
The upcoming release follows Shenseea’s sophomore studio album, Never Gets Late Here, released in 2024. That album earned a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album and helped strengthen her position as one of Jamaica’s most internationally recognized female entertainers.
Shenseea has consistently demonstrated her ability to move between traditional dancehall, contemporary R&B, hip-hop, and international pop music. Her versatility has introduced her to audiences far beyond Jamaica while keeping her connected to the Caribbean music scene.
The announcement of Catalyst arrives at an important stage in her career as fans anticipate the direction of her next body of work.
With a Vybz Kartel collaboration among the announced tracks, the project also promises a connection to the dancehall sound that helped establish her career.
As the November 6 release approaches, attention now turns to the remaining tracklist and the musical direction of the EP.
For Shenseea, Catalyst represents another opportunity to expand her international presence while showcasing the creativity and versatility that have defined her journey.
DancehallStarz will continue following the release and its reception.
